Philosophy & Mission Statement

The ultimate purpose in all our educational activities is the development of the total Christian woman through the cooperative efforts of the student, the home, the school, the community, and the Church. We continually seek ways to help the student emerge capable of intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, aesthetically and physically integrating Christian values into every aspect of life. Emphasis is placed on creating an atmosphere that nurtures wholesome interpersonal relationships between student and student, teacher and administrator, and school and community.

In keeping with this philosophy we strive to:

  • Help each student to deepen her relationship with God and to become a mature Christian woman prepared to make a positive contribution to society.

  • Encourage each student to develop her potential through curricular and extracurricular activities.

  • Orient the curriculum to student needs, aptitudes and interests.

  • Vary teaching techniques to allow for challenging the fast learner as well as for encouraging and motivating a less gifted student.

  • Provide classroom instruction that emphasizes the relationship between Christian morality and democratic citizenship.

  • Foster a spirit of community service by encouraging each student to volunteer time and efforts to help others.
