Art I Students learn the basic elements and principles of art and study famous artists and their works. Drawing and painting techniques are developed with an introduction to lettering and crafts. |

Grade 9 |
½ Credit

Art-Exploration Of Techniques and MaterialsDiscovering creative potential and new ways to use materials are the central themes of this course. The students will work with drawing, painting, clay, paper mache, and other media and will develop a sense of where their creative potential may be. Art appreciation and some history of the different movements in art will be introduced as well. |
