From the South Hills Take routes 19 or 51 to the Liberty Tunnels. Proceed through the tunnels to the Liberty Bridge. From the Liberty Bridge access the Veterans Bridge (I-579). Once on the Veterans Bridge, choose the extreme right lane and exit for Route 28 (Etna). Take Route 28 to the Millvale exit. At the Stop sign at the end of the ramp turn right and then bear left onto Evergreen Road. Follow Evergreen Road for about one mile. Mount Alvernia is on the hill on the right across from the BP station. Go past the BP to the first right which is Hawthorne Road. The first right off Hawthorne Road will take you to the high school parking lot. |

From Route 8 Going South Take Route 8 to the exit for Route 28 south. Once on Route 28 south, travel about 1.5 miles to the exit for Millvale. As you come down the exit ramp, bear to the right onto Evergreen Road. Stay on Evergreen Road about 1.2 miles and then turn right onto Hawthorne Road (Alverno apartments will be on the corner). The first right off Hawthorne Road will take you to the high school parking lot. |

From Route 28 Going South Exit from Route 28 south at the Millvale Exit. As you come down the exit ramp, bear to the right onto Evergreen Road. From Monroeville Enter the turnpike headed west. Exit at the first exit (Route 28) and follow signs to Route 28 South. Once on Route 28 Going South, follow the directions above. |

Alternate Route From Monroeville From Monroeville access I-376 (Parkway East) headed west (toward Pittsburgh). Exit the Parkway at the exit for the Boulevard of the Allies. Stay in the right lane of the Boulevard, and pick up signs for the Veterans Bridge (I-579). Once on the Veterans Bridge, choose the extreme right lane and exit for Route 28 (Etna). Take Route 28 to the Millvale exit. At the Stop sign at the end of the ramp turn right and then bear left onto Evergreen Road. Follow Evergreen Road. for about one mile. Mount Alvernia is on the hill on the right across from the BP station. Go past the BP to the first right which is Hawthorne Road. The first right off Hawthorne Road will take you to the high school parking lot. |

From Wexford Take I-279 South, exiting at Perrysville Avenue (Exit 12). At the Stop at the end of the ramp, turn left and then proceed through the light across Route 19 to Cemetery Lane. Follow Cemetery Lane until it ends (about 1.5 miles). At the end of Cemetery Lane turn right onto Babcock Boulevard. Follow Babcock Boulevard to Millvale (at the light which is about 1.4 miles from Cemetery Lane, Babcock Boulevard turns to the left. Watch that you don't miss this, as it is not well marked). As you enter Millvale, you will see a Hardee's on the right. At the light at Hardee's turn left. After the light, take the second left onto Hawthorne Road (Alverno Apartments are on the corner). The first right off Hawthorne Road takes you to the high school parking lot. |
